Upper Level Studies in Interior Design is equivalent in every way to a university degree , in both academic and professional aspects.
Those who receive the degree are qualified to improve, create and develop interior environments as needed for the use and communication which society currently demands, and to resolve them with technological and artistic efficiency.

In a developed society, decisions about the elements that conform our artificial environment, be they products, services, surroundings or personal wear, are dependent on diverse disciplines which span sociology, economy, technology and esthetics. Companies and organizations are aware that they should consult with qualified professionals who understand this language, meet their needs and offer creative results to their demands which are able to balance all these values and highlight them as desired. The ultimate users of the products, services and surroundings express interests and needs which may appear to be apposite to those of the companies that are promoting them. The qualified designer is a professional who is capable of synthetically meeting all those needs in opposing vectors.

The designer, within the different specialities, is paramount in importance to the richness of their contribution to the different functional, esthetic and symbolic fields, and in relation to their commitment to the larger questions of development, the environment and quality of life.

The interior designer is presented with a substantial task in spite of their level of specialization: on the one hand, in residential interior design, one should be capable of transforming an isotropic space in a way which enhances the individual, personal and social quality of life of the occupants; on the other hand, in corporate interior design, generally commercial in nature, they should understand the values the company intends to transmit to the community and be capable of communicating them in a creative and gratifying manner.

Study Characteristics

In order to facilitate the ability of future designers to meet these challenges, the three study cycles represent three levels of training:

Firstly, the acquisition of basic artistic, humanistic, scientific and technological, and project management skills in order to be able to tackle the following stages.

Secondly, acquisition of the conceptual ability to process information and manage self-learning, creativeness and idea generation, and development of the complete project; in addition, specialization in formal theory in the areas of technology and humanities.

Lastly, the student must develop a final project which will allow us to evaluate the practical and project management capabilities the student has acquired in the three previous courses.

Subsequent continuation of studies is necessary for a diplomature as described in the L.O.E. 2/2006, 3 May.
